Prejudging 1969's for Future Flight

Lawrence Shaw has two 1969 Corvettes that he is planning to have Flight judged. Using the 6th Edition of the 1968-69 judging manual (with color photos) and sample judging sheets, we will help get him headed for Top Flight.

It doesn’t matter whether you are familiar with 1968-69s or not,  you will have all the information needed to pre-judge these cars. It’s about using judging skills with the NCRS judging matrix of Originality, Condition, CDCIF, and Standard Deductions.   A lift is available for chassis judging.
Jimmy Gregg will also conduct a short tech session on properly replacing plug wires.
Lunch will be hot dogs and cheeseburgers, freshly cooked, and there is a great view of the lake while you eat. This will be a fun event and we will all learn something.

JUDGING SCHOOL

This school will use Ed Harbor’s 1968 Bowtie coupe as a great example for explaining Bowtie judging. We will discuss the differences between Flight and Bowtie judging as well as get some hands-on participation. Ed has a lift in his garage so we can get a good look at the chassis and do some judging there as well. The use of this car for the judging school also moves Ed one step closer to achieving his 5th Star. If you have never done Bowtie judging or observed the process, this is a good opportunity to become familiar with the process, and earn one judging point. Bring a folding chair..
